Recent Commercial Marina and Waterfront Projects
London Olympics 2012:
The London 2012 Olympics Committee, The World Wildlife Foundation and Bio Regional Solutions have developed the concept of “The One Planet Olympics” the first Sustainable Olympics. Composite wood has been specified as the sustainable surface of choice. Earth-wood has been proposed as the surface for walkways, bridges and the new 600 berth marina.
Dun Laoghaire Marina, Dublin, Ireland, May 2007: 288 new berths constructed with Earthwood. Total berths now 832
Calafat Marina, Barcelona, Spain, April 2007: 300 berth marina owned by the Chairman of “The European Federation of Yachting Marinas” Sr. Xavier Mangrane.
Madrid, Spain July 2007: Specified for its environmental & sustainable properties by “The Coastal Administratio” in Madrid for works on the Ebro River.
Salcombe Marina UK August 2007: Built by Walcon Marine for the Southampton Boat Show in September and then delivered and installed at Salcombe Marina.
Bristol Marina, UK, August 2007: Specified as the surface of choice by Taylor Woodrow and as the most suitable composite for inclusion as part of “The Environmental Exemplar” designed by environment officers in Bristol County Council.
Wick Harbour, Scotland May 2007: The first completely sustainable pontoons were installed in June 2007.
Port of Dover Marina, UK: Earth-wood was the surface of choice for this five anchor rated marina.
Waterways Ireland: Specified and installed on 100 metres of floating Pontoons on The River Barrow Waterway, Co Carlow.
Fingal County Council: Specified and selected for the new Malahide Estuary Boardwalk through the Estuary Nature Reserve.
Specified and selected for the new three kilometre beach walkway through the sands and dunes at Portrane Co Dublin.

Irish Waterways, Ireland 2006/7: Installations totalling almost 50 kilometres of decking have included: Shannon Cove Marina, Dromod: Leitrim Village Marina, Keshcarrigan Marina complex: River Run, Belturbet, Folies Bridge, Cavan:
Netherlands, Rotterdam: The new Ferry Docking Station for the Rotterdam National Maritime Museum at Leuvehaven Muiden Harbour: The Queens harbour, Earth-wood was installed on over 100 berths.
Warren point, Northern Ireland: The new landing jetties and marina were installed in June 2007
